Oceans

I love this song by Hillsong "Oceans" Every time I hear  it, it takes me to that place where I am in His presence. Don't you just love when music does that, in the middle of the mess you find peace.

We love music in our house, the kids love to dance. Tonight when this song came on Charlotte goes into the living room and lifts her hands high and sways to the beat. She then comes up to me with arms stretched high and says "dance mommy dance". How blessed am I?

I have been struggling with over coming fear recently, but I know that even if I have to lay it at the throne daily He will continue to cover it with the Blood every time I ask.

Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't
start now

Just love that it's not when I may fail but when I do He will find me.  I am in awe of this God and His gracious love. I want to go deeper, much farther than my feet could ever wander. I know that is the place were I am changed, I don't want to wake up tomorrow the same.

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Thank you for letting me share a little bit of my heart with you today.

The cup race

I just have to laugh at the girls lately, because as sweet as they are to one another there is always another side.
The last few nights the typical evening game has been Miss. E grabs Miss C's pink cup and proceeds to run off. Of course Miss C sees her sister with her cup because she always has pink and E always has purple, which is of course how we maintain order in a house of chaos.
So, Charlotte is chasing Evie yelling my "cup my cup" only steps behind, which it doesn't appear she intends to catch up to her slightly bigger sister. And all the while Evie is laughing  hysterically. Round and round they go, until its not fun any more and they move on.

Storm

11 inches is the final tally of snow that we received last night, I am not sure how that makes me feel. I do know that I wish it was a little warmer than 8 degrees to take the kids out to play today.

It’s funny when you think about the weather all that goes into prepping you for the big “storm”, it’s a never ending line of news cast after news cast of what to expect for the afternoon commute. I can't help but think of how this compares in our every day life with  the storms that we encounter.  Even when we feel that we have taken all the right steps to prepare, at times we are still blindsided by life .

But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.  Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.

Isaiah 43 1-5

I love that even when we feel we are lost in the storm of this life, God reminds us that He has all the tools we need. We just need to remember how to access them. He is steadfast and faithful to His word. In this life where nothing is for certain I hold fast to His word and know that I can face the storm of tomorrow.

On to my little people!
When we get big storms, I think back to when I was a kid and how much fun it was to jump and play in fresh fallen snow. This has proven to be no different for my kids, we went out last evening after dinner while the snow was still falling. The kids just couldn’t get enough of those big fluffy snowflakes. The girls even proceeded to lay their heads down in the snow and say "ni night".

Love

I love that the greatest gift we can give one another is our LOVE.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Forgiveness

See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. 1 Thessalonians 5:15

This week I have had to ask for forgiveness as well as forgive. Not, something enjoyable but something that God has called us as followers to do. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit that gently nudges at my spirit in which I can choose to respond. As a mom of young kids I am not perfect and there are times that I need to ask for forgiveness from them, I am thankful that I can lead by example.

All bitterness, anger and wrath, insult and slander must be removed from you, along with all wickedness. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. Ephesians 4:31-32

I love how clear God is on the matter of forgiveness, I don’t even have to question my response. But, pray for a softened heart. I love the freedom that comes from doing His will!

Enjoy a few more pictures of my loves!

A Day in the Life of a Birthday Boy

And this is how the day went:

Breakfast, Liam was not so keen on seeing my camera at 8 am

I  gave him a choice of what he would like to do on his birthday. He choose to go to skyzone a big trampoline park.. Two days a week they have tot time for kids 5 and under, so no one gets trampled by big kids.

The girls love to jump too

Evelyn got a little tired out from jumping

After jumping all morning Liam took a little rest before the evening festivities.

Once dad came home we headed out for pizza

Last but not lest Liam asked for a birthday cake with white cake and chocolate frosting!

Time to blow out 4 candles!
