Family Fun

We had so much fun over the holiday weekend hanging out as a family enjoying the weather!

Yesterday, we headed to one of our favorite parks, the kids played on the playground, swam at the beach and we had a picnic. Picture perfect summer day spend together. I told Aaron that this was my happy place, so much fun making memories together.

11 months

Let the count down to the big ONE begin!!
This little man is into EVERYTHING!! If he sees the pantry door open slightly he just beelines  it as fast as his little legs can get him there.
He officially has started to crawl and of course is much faster than when he rolled everywhere.
He talks all day long and loves to play.
I gave him his fourth haircut and as you can see it still could be shorter but I am just not ready for my little boy to look older.

Big Girls

It was only one year ago that we converted the girls cribs to toddler beds (you can see that post here Big girl beds) a few months before Ben arrived and now one year later they finally have their own bunk bed.

Last spring before Ben was born we started looking for a bunk bed for Liam 's new room.  Finding nothing in the stores, we continued our search on the internet. I ended up finding plans for a bunk bed and liked the idea of being able to finish it how I envisioned without paying for my vision. After, deciding what I wanted my handy hubby got to work, a year later we are still so happy with our decision. Since Liam's bed turned out so well we knew right away we would do the same thing for the girls.

As you can tell from the pictures they are very excited for their first night in the new beds. So, excited  that they ended up falling asleep in them this afternoon.

Friday night fun

Now that its officially summer weather, this is our typical evening. After dinner we head outside for a little batting practice, crawling races, and silly faces.

So blessed to be present and not miss one minute of this life God has so graciously given to me.

Baseball

When I talked to Liam this spring about what sport he may want to play this summer, he mentioned baseball. Laim has never played baseball so I started looking for a tee ball program, I soon found out that they didn't offer tee ball to his age group, only coach pitch.
We are now in full baseball mode with a game and practice every week. It's truly been a juggle for us with four kids and me working two evenings a week, but we are making it work and Liam is enjoying himself.
He loves to bat and and calls the games the "real deal", its so cute to watch  him out there on the field making friends and doing his best to learn all about the great sport of baseball.

Last Day

The girls had their last day of preschool last week, the parents came early on the last day to have cookies and say our good buys.
I can't believe how much the girls have grown, so fun to watch them bloom.
They have one more year of preschool next year before they head to kindergarten, so we will be back in the fall with Mrs. Nelson.
I captured a picture with Mrs. Nelson and one with Mrs. Ise

Planting

Its been a few weeks since the kids planted the garden, because as I look out at the garden now I can see all kinds of seedlings coming up.

This is a tradition we always do in the spring, I love to be able to have the kids apart of planting. I think there are many great lessons we can learn from how God created the earth to yield new life to how to plant and grow your own food.

We live in a fast pace world were everything is fast and easy, and many times the simple things are left in the dust. We are passionate about raising our children to think of food different than the mainstream world dose, to know how to plant, harvest, and consume food at its most simplest form.
