One year of blogging

It has been one year since I started this blog, how much fun it has been to document some of the events in our lives this past year. I know that I will look back on all of the post and appreciate it because when life is busy and you don't sit down and document a few things life just passes you by and years later you are trying to remember details that happened.

Of course with my first child I was great at documenting all of the little milestones that happened like first teeth, first word, and first steps. I have a baby book and a calendar that I kept up, but with the girls the documenting just doesn't go as smoothly. I am hopping to go back and wright things into their baby books but for now I am using this blog and a five year memory journal that a friend gave me.

The reason I wanted to start this blog was to let people we love become apart of our everyday lives. People that may not live down the street but can feel as if they do by reading what happened at our house today.

I have also enjoyed taking on the challenge of learning to take better pictures, I love that there is so much to learn and master. It is the best feeling to look back 6 months  and see how far I have come and learned and see that difference in my photos.

Thank you for stopping and spending a few minutes with us.

Here are a few snapshots of my big 3 year old!

My baby is not a baby any more.....

Liam is growing up into such a great leader, so smart and loving.
He is such a great big brother to his little sisters, loves to play with them, chase them around and laugh with them. And of course the girls just adore him!
He amazes me everyday with new things he is learning, he knows all of his colors and shapes. Letters and numbers, he can count to 20 and sings his ABC's.
He can tell me all of the equipment needed to built a road. All of the various different types of cranes, dump trucks, and all of the equipment you need at a construction site. How boring my life would be without a little boy to help me watch for diggers, loaders, and cranes as we drive to school.
He loves to build with blocks and use his imagination playing with his tractors and horses. Loves to be outside especially in the summer when he can play in his sandbox. I think he could play out there for days, and it would never get old to him.
We laugh every day by the funny things things he says.

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy, my life has never been the same since you came into my life. I am so proud of you and love every moment that I get to spent with you, watching you grow into such a great little man.
I am honored to be your mom and be apart of this journey to see what great things God has in store for you.

Water works

The girls love to race up the stairs and scatter. (haha) This has been one of their favorite things to do, go into to our master bathroom and turn the water on and off. It has been all fun and games untill we got our bill for the water from the last month. Needless to say we are limiting their fun in our bathroom! Hope every one had a great weekend...we are looking forward to starting our week.

Little Ladies

I haven't updated for a little bit, blogger loves to give me grief. Anyway, hope every one is having a good week and staying warm if you are here in this frozen tundra( Minnesota).  It was a busy weekend for us, we had some old friends over on Friday for dinner. They are expecting their first, we are hoping we didn't scare them too much. HaHa Actually, are advise is that one is a piece of cake, it only becomes challenging when you are out numbered.
I was excited to go to an editing class on Saturday, so I am hoping to put what I learned to practice and take my pictures to a new level. Sunday, my hubby was planning on going fishing but decide against it because of the cold weather. I was able to go in early to work and work a full 12hrs, which was nice since I only work a couple times a month.
Here are a few pictures I took of the girls last week.
